Author’s notes: A short angsty ficlet. The thing even has it’s own icon… or actually, I made the icon first. So I guess the icon got a ficlet.
Also, my first fic that's to be posted on himfanfics and __vam, and I know it's vague although it makes sense in my own head. I'd love feedback!

The night sheer curiosity turned into that silent, tingly feeling, blue light spilled over the stage and onto you as you were, standing hunched over the microphone. The world calmly danced around the soft words falling from your lips. Your heart got lost.
There’d never been any red. Even in the most heated moments your fingers were cold and soft against my eyes, and my frustrated scream when you closed your hands around my neck one time too many, it was the purest kind of blue.
So smother me, that this strange colour won’t mar your face, perfect pale with black.
Later, when you wrapped your arms around me from behind, your silence told me all I needed to know. Sometimes all I know is colours, and I’d always see you like that night, standing amidst that dancing blue.
Again, all was this fateful hue after you found me with another. Ah, the curtains that filtered the light were the colour of the sky. It might have been you - it should have been you, the way you were, the way your eyes turned into a smile when you spotted me that first time.
I forgot to take my heart back when you turned away from me, the light reflecting in your dark curls… frozen. I forgot to remember what it was like being without you.
I wish I’d forgotten all colours. But I only need to look in the ice blue mirrors of my own lost soul to know - your sky is where I belonged.
