Hi guys. Just wanted to post quickly to let you know that I am alive and well and not on campus trapped in my office in the dark while soldiers search the building for a crazed shooter. That's just my co-workers, and while I'm happy I was late to work and am not with them right now, I'm scared for them, too, and worried

I'm stuck in my building. SWAT swept us all into a secure location about an hour ago, and we're hearing that it will be a couple more hours. My building is right next door to the one where the shooting happened, and the second shooter was rumored to have fled to my building. Good times! :-P

:/ I'm sure you drove and all that, but please let me know if you need anything, if you don't feel like you can drive home, if you need a place to hang out for a while that's closer to campus or something. I live right behind Austin Karaoke now, so I'm pretty close.

Glad you're safe and at home! I can't imagine being in a situation like that--terrifying. My thoughts are with the people still on campus.
