This was really interesting to read. I particularly enjoyed your thoughts on labels and Adam. I liked seeing your perspective on labels and reading how you and Adam were alike and different. You can give me five of those...things...if you want. If that's how it's even done. I'm not even sure.

Haha. Anyway, YAY. And nice to read your thoughts on labels, particularly "slut." I agree, and I'd just watched Cruel Intentions two nights ago so the whole "slut" issue was fresh in my mind.

And Adam! See, that's the one thing I didn't notice about him until you explained it to me while beta-ing -- his optimism and willingness to fall in love again, even after being burned. It's a really important aspect, and I'm glad I'm at least slightly aware of it now, because I think it's a great angle I'd love to write more/see more of in fic.

While Adam's the one constant in all my stories (Adam gen, Kris/Adam, Anoop/Adam, Matt/Adam), I've never written him as the viewpoint character before. I think I can now! And I'm going to try to tackle that in this Cruel Intentions AU I'm planning out. Yay. :D

Love: I'm different from both of you, but maybe that's because I've never truly been in love before? I subscribe to the "Love = Hormones + Other chemicals + Body parts" school of thought, so I'm mostly "meh" on the whole thing.

I think love is more like... being not only willing but happy to give yourself up completely to these feelings. Which is great when the other person feels the same way, and sucks really really hard when they don't, or at least not to the same extent. I'm unwilling to give any part of myself or to be vulnerable in that way to anyone, whereas I think Adam craves that.
