Doi has posted a letter danxsunday wrote to be posted after he died, and even if you didn't know Dan, you should go read it here because as usual, Dan says everything in the bluntest, best way possible. He had a gift for skipping all the bullshit and really getting at the heart of the matter, which is probably how he put up with me for the past five years

Dan's letter has me crying. Such an amazing guy and not the least because he chose to share that with people at the end.

Me too. And I know the last thing he'd want is for anyone to be sad. It's hard to believe he's not around anymore.

4. Mr. Red had something like that and it was a - brace yourself because it's a little gross - an ingrown hair that kind of got infected. He scratched it one day and all kinds of things came out. Any way to poke it?

1. He was a very wonderful person. He died on Sunday of pancreatic cancer. I feel lucky to have known him so well.

2. Doubt it. It's very weird! But hey, Britney! In my mailbox! I am not complaining :P

4. Could be! I dunno. I just noticed it last night. I figure it'll go away or I will show it to the doctor next week.

erastes is on my flist, and linked us to his journal a couple of days ago, and to his letter this morning. I didn't know him, but reading it took my breath away - his words can speak to anyone, I think.

I hope you don't mind the comment - I was curious about those who had known him and your entry was at the top of his friends page.

I don't mind the comment. He was my best friend, really. It's incredibly sad to me that you all didn't get a chance to know him.

From what I gather he used to be in the Harry Potter fandom, which does make me sad for that very reason - he's probably been on the edge of my circle all along, and we just never crossed paths.
