I like the idea of JC deciding to be utterly selfish, because I suspect he wouldn't ever *quite* manage to justify it to himself, and also, because his idea of normal behaviour is probably not quite what most of the world thinks anyway. Mind, he's lucky not to be slapped...

And of course I love sturdily self-confident and take-charge Lance putting everything right.

I wonder if, one day, I ought to read that book, just to see. Hmm.

I think I have the Fountainhead memorized, I've read it so many times. But I wouldn't say it's... good. It's actually quite scary. And not in a 1984 way, because she's not being metaphorical at ALL. She really means it. And that's the scary part.

I've never read anything by Ayn Rand, so mostly I will just say: Oh, Lance, how so awesome? I like that JC works so hard at being an asshole, awww. And Lance is awesome, yay! ♥

Lance is very awesome, though. It's hard for me to write Lance as anything but awesome!

I've never read Ayn Rand either, but I would like to see what would happen if JC would unleash his inner diva and be a bit more discriminating and demanding when it comes to his personal happiness. And I always like seeing bitchy/take charge Lance.

i like the first conversation jc has with justin alot!! jc trying to do be selfish is such a good idea. i am quite gutted you didn't manage to quote the amazing lyrics from 'selfish' but i'll let it go :P

why did you choose to identify the old man as 'hispanic'? in one way i think it's a good idea to increase visibility of minorities in fic but it sometimes rubs me the wrong way when it seems irrelevant to mention.

I think the old man is hispanic because they live in California and I imagine Lance hiring illegal Mexicans to handle the goats he's always going on about in interviews. It was really more about the goats than the old man. So I guess it was pretty irrelevant, could've easily just been any old guy. Hmmm. Maybe living in Texas has affected me more than I thought.
