This post, this fic makes me so happy that I'm nearly crying happy tears. You have no idea how badly I've been longing for this. And here it is. Gorgeous and funny and sweet and a little sad/nostalgic too. This is more wonderful than anything I could have hoped for.

Seriously, Chicagoland is one of my all time favorite fics ever and seeing this makes me so, so happy.

I loved the schmoopy bits, the funny bits, the little annoyances between two long-time lovers, Jensen's irritation with Jared's habits, how they work together, the love. The circle how it closes.

I think this little universe kind of has a life of its own and I am a bit leery about writing more because I want people to be able to imagine what happens for themselves but... when someone asks for it for their birthday, I have to deliver :)

Phew. I'm so glad I wrote more. I almost stopped after the first part but then Wendy said MAKE IT LONGER so I decided to do something else.

They did raise some awesome kids!! Because THEY are awesome and they really would be the best, coolest dads ever. Is it wrong that I wish they were MY dads? Um, especially since Jared is younger than me? Yeah, it's probably wrong. But that's the beauty of the Magic Line. I can want Chicagoland J2 to be my dads, and not worry about what real J2 are up to.

...this makes me think someone should write a 'My Two Dads' AU. Jensen would be the Paul Riser dad! And Jared would be the other one! AHAHA. It would be awesome.

But who would the girl be?? I actually don't even remember the premise of My Two Dads except that they were supposedly two straight guys raising a teenage girl for... some reason I can't remember. And they maybe lived above some kind of soda shop in an awesome loft?
