So there are these two 80-something old ladies who blog about politics. And they are awesome. For example:

It really all comes down to a fundamental misunderstanding of the poor. When you hear Palin screaming “socialism” or John McCain spouting off about “redistribution of wealth” that’s really code for “those damn poor people”. What they are ( Read more... )

I saw there blog before through a political comm I belong too. I love the header of them in their scooters on vacation together somewhere.

They are just awesome and I hope to be that awesome if I make it to my 80s.

My mom, who is 65, voted early and voted Obama. she said it just made sense in the end to vote for him and not McCain.

My mom is also in her 60s. She voted absentee for Obama :) I mean, she's never voted Republican in her life (social worker!) but it was awesome to hear that she took the initiative and voted absentee. Her health isn't the best, so she thought it would be easier to vote absentee. GO OHIO.

Apparently, there are a lot of people who don't believe that an 82 year old woman would use the language Helen uses---they've obviously not been around the old ladies I know;) I suspect that the skeptics also don't believe that someone that old could be smart enough to write as astutely as she does. Ageist assholes. I don't care if they're for real or not----it sure looks like the unvarnished truth to me.

Haha omg. My dad swore like, well. He was in the air force at one point, and he told me stories about the circle jerks they used to have, and he was in his 70s. Ahem. Oh man, that reminds me that once, I was waiting for a table at a diner with my friends (we were in high school) and waiting with us was a group of older people, 2 couples. And they were like... groping each other? And when one of the old ladies caught us staring she was like, "Old people have boobs, too, honey!"

Yeah, the boobs don't go away when you get old----you just have to roll them up to fit them in a bra ;)

Their blog is hilarious. Thanks so much for sharing. I especially liked "if I hear that McCain is a Maverick one more time, I just might throw myself on the floor and break a hip."

Ahaha. Omg. I love their explanation of why it's okay to call Sarah Palin a bitch--because she IS one.

I think Edyta is too tall for Lance :P But man. SOMEONE. She really is an attention whore. She shouldn't have said anything about having it.
