Um. like 85. But I am for sure going to be leaving October 1. Once Max is safely away, I will jsut end up spending most of my time away from the house. The last time I had a roommate situation like this, I went to the gym A LOT. I showered at the gym and everything :P
God, I'm so mad at your roommates, the ignorant arseholes. It is so NOT good to move people's stuff around. Can you not leave a note on the A/C saying 'Please leave this on?' so they don't turn it off?
I wish I lived near you in Texas so you could come and stay with me, Andrea. :(
I don't know how things work over there but I'd contact the landlord and say living there's impossible and that he must tell the other people living in the house that they have to leave your stuff alone, shut the door and leave the A/C as they find it. It's so not cool to just touch your stuff without asking and to move your food and drink your soda. Maybe a mini-fridge in your room and a fan of your own will help if you don't think you can break the lease?
I have 2 fans, actually. it's just, it's fucking TEXAS. It's 100 degrees here. Fans don't work well against this kind of heat.
Part of the problem with the AC is this whole stupid thing where last month, they racked up a huuuuge electric bill, and it's in the landlord's name, and they haven't paid the extra they owe to him. For a little bit last week, they were saying they were going to turn off the utilities. So in an effort to try to conserve, they don't want to turn the A/C on. Except that they have their own A/C unit upstairs, so it's not like they're the ones suffering!
your new living arrangements sound like a nightmare that just keeps getting worse. I'm so sorry, hun! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to find the perfect apartment soon. And I'm glad you found someone willing to keep Max for you. *hugs*
You might be able to find an apartment pretty quickly. When I was looking, I was surprised at how soon some wanted the move-in to be. And especially now that school is starting again soon, it would be a great time to look.
If you want my locator guy's info, just let me know.
I do, but I just know there's no way they'll let me out of this lease. I'm going to start looking in a few weeks though, and then I will totally take that info.

*hugs you*
Is there anywhere you can go to get away? Even if it's only for a few days or something? Just to get a break from these jackasses.
