I don't really think it's inhumanity, just humanitys laxyness. But that job can get really stressful sometimes.

I didn't get a chance to work on the icons tonight cause Steve was online talking to some friends but I'll see what I can get done tonight now that he's in bed.

yes but what they did was for the money! they didn't even bother to try and evact and saved themselves! though the good news is that not all the old folks died! the cna's and nuses aid that the owners left behind to die!
They got some of the residents onto matresses and pushed them out the door and got them into boats so at least not all the residents died! some survied thanks to the curagous efforts of those nurses aids and cna's

That's sad but like Pluto said it happens at all homes. Especially hospitals. I've seen it with my own eyes and it's just sad. I mean it's their freaking job, but humans..lazyness...selfishness...yup.

that's what i like about my mother's hospital! they put the residents first! I worked on unit 7 for a while which was called long term care and i fell in love with alot of those old people! got adopted by 2 of them too! *laughs* but they liked me and everything and when one would pass away I would bail like a baby because in my line of work you get attached to the people you work with! My dad was always saying thsat you shouldn't get attacjhed to them cause most of them in there will end up dieing but it's hard not to get attached when you see them every day and work with them everyday and build a bond with them! So in a way right now i know how the families of that nursing home victims feel right now! as a cna when i'm taking care of them I treat them as if they where my own grandma and grandpa and give them the repspect they deserve! alot of the cna i used to work with would treat the residents like babies but you shouldn't do that because it's not only embassing to them but it is also degradding and makes them feel humlated and ( ... )
