Yes! I've been waiting for an update on this!

Ow! Not just Wilson!whump, House!whump, too. Now, House knows there are supernatural forces at work. How can things go anymore to Hell? Short time on the next chapter, pleeeeeeease! I love spooky tales!

House will be okay, he just needs a little rest, not that he'll allow himself any, at least, not until he knows Wilson is safe. Plus, he's faced a lot of trauma, especially growing up, so he's desensitized himself to it, is able to function at least temporarily. Wilson, however, (as far as we know from canon) hasn't experienced as much and is easier traumatized psychologically, I think. Plus, Wilson holds on to the trauma rather than dealing with it. He stuffs it down until there's no more room for it. JMHO. House is the same way, but at least in season 6 he worked on some of his issues. Wilson, we know, has seen a psychiatrist in canon, and been on antidepressants, but I just can't see him opening up to a shrink. He's much more secretive than even House!

What agreat chapter! I usually don't like paranormal much, but this is so good. The way House and Wilson protect each other is so IC - andHouse doing a DDX on Wilson's bedroom mirror with Wilson contributing is perfect.
Looking forward to the next chapter, except I don't want it to be over so soon.

I'm not much for paranormal, either, but I do like some SF and fantasy. I wish we could see more Caring/Protective!House in canon, but TPTB have basically taken a complex, troubled, amazing character like Gregory House and turned him into a soulless bastard who cares about no one and nothing but himself. The way he has treated Wilson in seasons 7 and 8 has been absolutely appalling and so OOC as to make it painful to watch. Wilson has been turned into a total idiot who can't keep up with House at all which is the opposite to how he originally was written and portrayed. It hurts to see my favourite characters bastardized like they have been. It's like most of the writers never saw the first three seasons but that's not true of all of them and DS should be ashamed of himself for what he's done and allowed others to do to his creation. I've said this before, but for me, House M.D. ended with the episode "Black Hole" in season 6 but with House following Wilson to the bedroom after receiving the organ from him instead of staying

I've tried and tried, and I can't react properly to this comment. I do completely and totally agree and yet the truth hurts. Especially the part about RSL being completely fed up and glad it's over, which is SO SAD. (Sorry for the capslock). I am however happy that he will now go home and enjoy free time with his daughter and the newborn.

For a more cheerful topic, I'm with you in rejoicing that HL gets to go on tour again. I'm terrible at remembering places/dates, so I hope that, once the tour dates get public, someone in the comm and/or on my f-list (you?) will write a post about it.

[I must admit when I saw Vancouver my first reaction was "Great! I'll try and get a Vancouver invite for that time, so I'll get to see both HL and pgrabia!!" I always want excuses to go to Vancouver anyway for complicated reasons.]

It's so good to see you posting stories again! And I love the combination of mystery, paranormal, and hurt/comfort you have going on in this story.

One of the things I really love about your writing is that just when I think I know where you're going with a story, you surprise me by going somewhere completely different, every time. I'm looking forward to seeing where this story goes next.

Hi! Found this via SickWilson. I'm very interested in seeing how you wrap this up. This is definitely an imaginative and unique story -- I don't think I've read any H/W story like it. I like how you've structured it, moving between present to past, between the interview to the action.

Re this chapter: I really liked the DDX (How long has it been since we've seen that in canon??). And I am always a complete and total sucker for caring House! I think you've done it in a believable way -- he's not being sweet and sappy, just understandably worried/freaked out. Thanks for sharing!
