We moved away from NJ almost 8 years ago. It will always be home though, The memories will never go away, The devastation is mind boggling to say the least. My family and friends for the most part are safe. My heart goes out to all of those who have lost everything. *hugs back*

So Sorry. highd October 31 2012, 19:13:34 UTC
I am so sorry Patty. Losing places you hold dear like this, and this way always hit hard, but I also think it makes the memories you have of the place much more special.

Big hugs.

The memories will never go away. Family and friends are safe though, if not a little cold. Jersey will come back bigger and stronger. This Jersey girl is optimistic, even if she is a little sad.

I'm still worried about some of our LJ friends who have not checked in. Hopefully we will hear from them soon.
