My granddaughter just got a Nexus, which she loves. I've never seen her using the power cord, though. She likes Google Play, but I still prefer Amazon for all my movie, TV, music, and book needs! I've considered getting an ipad after B&N gets their nook study to work on it. However, I'm going to wait until it is available and make sure it doesn't have be attached to internet 24/7 in order to use it. (Otherwise it defeats the purpose.) Especially considering it's been in the works for quite some time. I have a few gift cards I've been saving so we'll see, I haven't decided if it's worth it or not just yet. It would be nice to read my textbooks away from the computer, but the ipad is still at least $300 for the 1st generation.

I use the Kindle app on my iPad3, and it works great! I had thought about getting a Kindle Fire, but when I found out I was getting my free iPad, I resisted buying one.
