So I had two appointments today before work, and in between them, I stopped at one of my LYS's to buy the yarn I was required to purchase in order to take the *free* Fair Isle class.  (*#(@#@)(*#&^... $45.00 class...)

OMG that's so awesome. I was thinking the other day (when my big box o'yarn from knitpicks came) that I wish I could make actual money knitting. I really enjoy it and would love to spend more time doing it, improving and all that.

Good luck refreshing on terminology and such. I've got the happy hooker and a basic "I taught myself to crochet book" if you ever have the need.

awesome! I never learned how to crochet. Knitting was just so much easier to learn. :)

That's a great job!!! I am still a beginner at crochet - but I've realized that it's better to bring to boring classes than knitting, because it doesn't make any noise. A girl next to me got completely fascinated by the speed of it, when I was finishing square after square for my blanket. *is currently not allowed to play because arms are protesting*

You should work in a fiber place. You could sneak in and take one LYS over completely, and one day own your own and sell your own designs.
