Wow. Just... wow. I really, really enjoyed this. I think it was very in character. To be honest, at first I was like "OMG, no, tell me she's not gonna make Maura go all hysterical because she can't take having slept with her best friend". But you did it in such a natural way that I loved it. You didn't overdo it. It was wonderful that with just a "Jane" and "we're friends...", you managed to convey all the distress Maura was feeling and the (understandable) reasons for that distress

Maura would NEVER be hysterical haha she's too stoic. I was aiming for her not to say much, I think at a time of crisis, though Jane tends to be the more masculine, introverted one, she'd probably pull through and speak up :) Maura on the other hand...I could see her being absolutely terrified but trying to overcome that with logic and a sense of control. And of course, Jane can see through her shit but loves her nonetheless! :D

Both this and Anatomy were absolutely adorable. I like the take you have on the characters and your writing style. I would love to see you expand this out. Perhaps some pre-story as to how they got to that point at the beginning of Anatomy as well as where they go from the conclusion of this one.

I adore sweet Jane. Only Maura can bring that out. Jane is so whipped.

Gah, it's taken me for ever to find some sort of style, it's hard to write differently to everyone else without sounding like a fartmouth! Sequels are always hard, prequels are even harder. I might look into how they got to that point, we'll see! It would certainly be fun to play with :))
Someone else also used 'whipped' to describe Jane, you're on the money!
