My Stardust Melody, Chapter 17

May 20, 2012 20:38

Four days later
"It's just weird, Reid.  That's all I'm saying."

Reid gripped the steering wheel tighter as he tried to peer through the windshield.  Could snow pour?  Because that's what it seemed to be doing.  He glanced quickly at his longtime friend, and said irritably, "It sounded a bit like you might be taking up ( Read more... )

"How would I know what passes for morality around here? My chief-of-staff has had five different wives, and people act like he should be nominated for sainthood. You wouldn't believe the amount of moralizing that man spews at me every chance he gets."

How wonderfully said. Bob was quite the ladies man in his time.

Thank you so much for stranding them in a cabin in a snowstorm. Oh how I love a soap opera gimmick. Now who is going to carry Luke to safety?

Bob was. I read his bio and the five wives don't even begin to cover all the other significant relationships he's been in.

No sane person would be driving in that weather, but I couldn't resist the soapy plot. Who's carrying Luke? Well, wait and see...

Thank you!

Big happy sigh. Perfect start of my day! And our men in a cabin with Nathan...it fills me with hope. Maybe now the truth can come out!

Thank you. Some truth is bound to come out, right? But we'll have to see how much and what difference it might make.

Poor Reid. No one--not Nathan, not you, not me--believes his protests of not being jealous.

The three of them being trapped together provides a heavy dose of awkwardness. Nathan is divided between being curious and being loyal, but I'm glad he's there for the moment. Reid needs some rehabilitation in Luke's eyes if I'm ever going to get Luke and Reid back together. I don't think Reid can provide that on his own. But don't worry, Reid's mistakes are/will be so colossal that the devouring of the heaping pile of crow is still in the works.

Fear not. Luke thankfully has his suitcase and his meds with him, so I'm hoping he stays relatively healthy. Ummm, if nothing else, I need him to be healthy just in case any naked shenanigans go on while they're there.

Thank you!

The older man didn't like to see Luke injured, even if the blonde was the spawn of the devil.

Ha! Oh, Reid.

I love how Nathan is persistently asking Reid the reasonable, obvious questions.

I can't wait to see what happens when they are all in the cabin together. Please update soon.

...the blonde seemed to bring out some sort of sex-starved beast in Reid.

:DDD

I love Reid's and Nathan's friendship! Reid really needs someone as patient as Nathan!

The cabin...hmm... maybe Nathan should sleep like a log :)

Thank you. I just said to someone else that I thought that to be friends with Reid, you'd need to be very patient . And then I saw your comment. Great minds think alike.

Don't worry--I've got plans for Nathan.
