Borrow?

English doesn't borrow from other languages; it wallops them back side the head, drags their senseless bodies into back alleys, and loots their pockets for anything shiny or of value.

Heck; we even have accountants (etymologists) who dedicate their lives to recording for posterity exactly which hapless victims various words came from.

Anyone outside the Midwest has no idea what a "bubbler" is. Here in Wisconsin, "bubbler" is the word we use for a drinking fountain.
