I am also one of those Asians Who Do Not Understand Sarcasm (tm)! it was terrible when talking to people who would deadpan "jokes" to me, and I'd believe them and they wouldn't realize it and then later I'd have a conversation with someone else, drop a (false) detail that I believed to be true, and people would look at me funny.
