Please to elaborate further for sad, living in America types.

Random? I've found a link to be able to see Blackpool. (Which made my heart happy, until the dumb thing wouldn't play.)

Life On Mars? Good?
Blackpool? Worth still trying to find?

Blackpool is excellent! If you can find it, it's definitely worth it. I never really watched Life on Mars, but I've heard very good things about it.

There's a link to Blackpool here. It might be the one you were already looking at, or it might not work, but give it a go. I find the site is usually pretty good, but it is mainly for people in the UK, so... dunno.

The Hoobs is a kids' TV show with puppets, mostly watched by students who are hungover/coming down/haven't slept all night. It's very soothing, despite having singing robots in it.

Black Books was the second or third best sitcom ever made. It starred Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey, and Graham Linehan (one of the funniest men alive) was also involved. You can probably watch it on the TV links site, actually, if you poke around.
