Still happy-dancing here! Although I would totally have LOVED to see Jack with any of the aliens, and I'd like it to have been happening as we came into shot, so there wouldn't be any of this delusional "Oh Jack looks miserable" stuff going around.

Jack didn't look sad UNTIL he saw the Doctor. He was fine before that.

But Wilf is DA BOMB. (I watched the BBCA marathon and I love the continuity of his Antlers from VoTD to Turn Left to The End of Time.)

Well I dunno, I don't remember the scene exactly but I thought he looked kind of miserable from the beginning, but I guess these things are pretty subjective. To be honest I would think a bit less of him if he weren't slightly miserable after the guy he was fucking got killed because of his mistake, and then he had to sacrifice his own grandson. But I never had a major problem with Ianto, as you might remember, so I guess I'd be coming at it from a different angle.

I love Wilf. I thought the Doctor was going to take him along as his latest companion for a minute (which would have been AWESOME).

Well Wilf is technically the companion for these two episodes. He got a ride on the TARDIS after all.

Not miserable. At the most, a bit grim. But sad AFTER he saw the Doctor, the guy he really loves.

That's true! But he didn't mention it being bigger on the inside did he? I suppose he would have known that already.
