well, for our field day tomorrow/later today, my friends decided to have a picnic for lunch, so we're all making different parts of the meal. i ended up with dessert, which i thought would be okay, since i have pretty decent baking experience. however, i am currently making a lemon panna cotta with raspberry coulis. how's it going so far

i was seriously thinking last night "why didn't he just bake cookies?! or a cake! i've seen him bake a cake before and i know he can do that!"

you seriously picked one of the hardest things to make. i hope it came out decent. at least you learned. baby steps, my dear brother, baby steps.

also, as a rule of thumb, you make recipes that are tried and true for others. when you want to experiment with a recipe (aka first time) you make it for family (that's what thanksgiving's all about)

lol it came out...okay, i guess... the lemon flavor wasn't strong, and my friends said that the texture was too rich. i think it was cause i freaked out, the cream boiled, and then i simmered it too long >.> oh well
