Three monks are forced to leave their monastery. They decide to walk to Italy to return their prayer book to another monastery of their order.
I had zero expectations about this movie. All I knew was that it was about a priest so, probably, he'd be tempted by a woman at some part, which is always interesting to watch.
The one crappy thing I can say about this movie is that I found a dubbed copy, so it was all in Spain-Spanish, not in its original language. Everything else was great. Really. Maybe the low expectations work best because you really go for the ride, and I laughed really hard with these characters and the situations they got into. The music just makes your heart swell, it's so beautiful, and some of the most powerful scenes in the movie are accompanied by amazing music and singing.
I really liked the way the whole 'they're leaving the monastery, will they also take the chance to leave the faith?' thing was handled. It wasn't obvious, it wasn't boring. After a few minutes of action you really get to know these characters and care for them, so instead of watching it for one actor that I like, I ended up really enjoying every performance and storyline.
Overall: really funny scenes at several points. Worth watching.
