I see ^^ "Painter" is different from Photoshop. It has what is called "natural painting" tools that is to say tools that imitate traditional medium like watercolor or pastels. It wasn't very accurate in the first versions but the latest version, Painter 12, is really awesome. Here is what you can do with it when you are an amazing artist like Taiwanese illustrator Chen Shu Fen: http://www.yonasu.com/wp-content/uploads/chen1.png
Wow, very, very nice! Woman, your art never, but never, fails to amaze me. And your palette is gorgeous -- love those red-brown tones, almost the same shade as old-fashioned color film negatives. Was that intentional, or a happy accident? Anyway, bravo!
. . . and now, I'm curious, so off to read the fic I go. :D
I used this palette because the sepia tones are the color of nostalgia (for me) and without spoiling the fic, the plot is about nostalgia and about regretting things in the past. I wanted the art to look like old photographs. The art had more vivid colors at the start but I desaturated a bit at the end :3 Thank you so much for your great comment about my art post ♥
Thank you so much for your great comment about my art post ♥ Oh "The writing process". I was afraid there were too many things and details in the pic ^^;; I'm very happy you liked it!
