Hi! I'm Ola.

I'm a polyamorous, atheist geek. My partner Danny and I work as software engineers at Google (after 3 years, I still can't believe I pulled that one off! :-)) I have lived most of my life in Israel -- we moved to Canada in 2011. I'm enjoying Canada immensely ( Read more... )

The entire universe, LOL :-)) Yeah, I can imagine the little green guys with antennae somewhere around Alpha Centauri going "Wow, check this out, dude!" :-)

To everyone else: this was Tzachi Bar, my best friend, an absolutely wonderful guy -- to enjoy his beautiful mind, go to http://cafe.themarker.com/view.php?u=22041

Sure!

From your blog, you sound really sweet! :-)
How long have you been training? Where? What belt level are you?

P.S. I wholeheartedly wish you good luck in all your journeys and fights -- especially your most important battle, with cancer. My thoughts are with you. I don't know you yet, so I don't know if this will mean much to you -- but I have a good feeling about this one. You have a long and fascinating life ahead of you.

I have been training for just over a year. I am a blue belt. When I wasn't sick I trained every day (almost) and often twice a day... So, I made a lot of progress at the beginning. Progress is slower now, I train a few times a week now. But I try to think about and study bjj, books and dvds...
We are really lucky in that our gym always brings in high/top level instructors which helps with learning too.

You are one of the sweetest people I've "befriended" so for on LJ. I am so glad to be getting to know you better.

Thank you for your encouraging words.
