Yeah, I think you're right! Helio Gracie once said that he preferred to teach stupid people, because they learned much faster. They just do what they are told. The smarter ones tend to overthink everything, he said.

My feelings and thoughts exactly. If you take tennis, there are only about 3-4 things you can do for a shot. But in BJJ the combinations are infinite. I do hope and know I will get better some day but its going to be a long road for me. Right now, after 6 months of starting, I'm still not 'getting' it.
