Oh River can't be Romana. If she was he'd have known, you know the time-lordy sense of other time lords, apart from the fact that why would she die as a human? I can understand doing a Master and using the human as cover bit (although that is now getting worn out) but if she goes back to being Romana, they get married etc etc whatever why would she go back to being River? Why would he let her die that way? Not 10 the one that meets her for the first time, but the one that gives her the screwdriver, the one that would know. No way is he going to let a Time Lady die as a human. Especially if she is a) his wife & b) the only other Gallifreyan around.
Moff is screwing with us. He's taken a leaf from the RTD book of fanfrackage. Or the promotion guys are screwing with us. Somewhere we are getting screwed.
I know all that is just bull, really. I'm sure she's not his wife and she ain't a Time Lady either. I just wonder how/when/where the heck she learned how to write high gallifreyan. This messed up, really. But if Moffat decides to be the worst writer ever and we end up with a Mrs.D-Time-Lady-River and uses the lame excuse of "can't muck the timelines", I'm gonna snap. D<
