I didn't know about these, so I very much appreciate the overview. I was surprised to see David Redd's name pop up in an essay by Joanna Russ in the collection that Liverpool University put out a year or so ago. I can't remember the name of the story she was talking about, but she was very favorable. I hadn't realized before then that he'd had stories published in the past. Then I completely forgot to ask him about it when I finally met him at Novacon last year.
Redd's "On the Deck of the Flying Bomb" (Interzone #4) hinted at a great talent unfulfilled. His name has come up frequently in conversations with Greg Pickersgill.
Er, incorrect. That particular issue of Interzone predated David's article in Quasiquote by more than twenty years. I understand his priorities now, but reading that one story and then checking out his entry in the original Encyclopedia of Science Fiction did leave the impression of someone who never became the leading writer he 'should' have been.

... Late arrivals at the science fiction ball: I give you, from sweden, Mr and Mrs Dangerous Visions and their son, Lars Dangerous Visions.
Thanks. I have all those somewhere; I must root them out and have another read.

Also well worth seeking out is "The Way To London Town" from a 1960s NEW WORLDS.
There's a full bibliography (and details of a POD anthology) at http://www.davidredd.co.uk/.
I'm a little disappointed that you would seem not to have read "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" in QUASIQUOTE...
