Well, now I have a name for the pain. Which is not to say that it is ON, but it's a damn close description of what I get when I've spent too long at the laptop. Generally, it doesn't go away until I've taken a painkiller, taken the weight off my neck and had a good night's sleep.
Irritation of the greater occipital nerve, eh? Right pain in the neck, you could say.
Simple analgesics like paracetamol, ibuprofen Stronger analgesics like codeine Massage Attending to your posture - consider Alexander technique or the like. Examine your surroundings - your pillow, your work set up, your couch...wherever you spend your time.
