I was really surprised by news of his passing - the first time because I was convinced he'd died about 4 years ago, and the second time because I was really convinced he was older than 90. For the latter I blame that bloody awful biography of him I read about a third of before chucking across the room. It was bad enough to have gotten his date of birth wrong, I'm sure of it.
