this is the pen name i was thinking about. Tananembaum was it though. My name is pete and I'm a catholic too. I never went to a catholic grade school, but the only decent school in South Bend, Indiana is St. Joseph's High School. I've learned to reject banal prayer at the beginning of every class. Learned to hate superficial, egotistical, pedantic mystics and tell people who are strangers that I'm Jewish because it always causes some sort of reaction. i don't think we need to be friends or anything, but just saw your comment on the e.s. thing.

Well, consider yourself friended. I just got my name from Peter being my name and Tenenbaum being from The Royal Tenenbaums. I have encountered very few well-spoken, well-meaning Catholics. So there's that. I actually don't believe in any organized religion, but I particularly disagree with christian religions. So there's that.

Q: Do you ever force the "I'm Jewish" issue to provoke people? I know people that do, and I've always wondered why more people don't do that.
