I have this idea for a small story, but I know that I'll never get around to writing it. If anyone wants to try, feel free.
The idea is this: It's around the middle of the Golden Age. Peter hears about some trouble with pirates in the Eastern Ocean. So he and Susan go off to see what they can do about it. Edmund gets mad about this because he wants to come too, but Peter insists that Edmund and Lucy stay behind to take care of Narnia.
But things don't go as planned. As pirates will do, they attack the ship from Cair Paravel, capturing Peter, Susan and some of the crew, while the rest perish. Peter makes the mistake of telling them that he is the King of Narnia. They decide that they are going to hold him hostage so that they can make him do whatever they say. They ask if Susan is a Queen, and he lies, telling them that she is a lady of Archenland. To Peter's surprise, they have some respect for women. Peter agrees to do whatever they say in return for them not hurting or mistreating Susan.
Meanwhile, Edmund and Lucy grow nervous about their siblings' welfare. So both of them decide to lead a fleet out to find them, which Peter should have done in the first place.
On the ship, Peter is forced to do very hard labor, and slowly, while pretending to not be siblings, Peter and Susan start bonding in a new way.
I haven't decided upon the ending yet. I imagine Edmund and Lucy rescue Peter and Susan before they are forced to do anything horrible, and that Peter and Susan end up married, but you can make that decision for yourself. You could even make part of this Edmund/Lucy, but I wouldn't have done that.
