I was a pollwatcher back in Chicago at a paper-voting site, and I worked tech support at the first election in Texas with the voting machines. I prefer the machines. Both systems can be messed with. Ballots can be stuffed, changed, lost.
I read the other day that the highest rate of traffic accidents occur on election day. So you're darn right that you could get into an accident. Be careful on the roads that day all the same.
I hear you on the anxiety. I refuse to believe that Obama can win until I actually see it happen. I have a strong feeling that the election will be close, contested, and not over on election day.
