Since my last post, one of the light fittings in the bathroom also blew up. So I rang the manufacturer, and without any kind of qualm or quibble, they sent me a replacement in the post. This is good, as it a) saves me trying to rewire the connector on the end of the mains cable, and b) saves me the £30 on a new one ( Read more... )

Those are GREAT slippers!

Maybe it was a flux capacitor, which is why it worked in the past. Or will work if you do 88 miles per hour. (I know you can!)

I enjoy disassembling broken things to find out why they have broken. I can't always fix them, but understanding the points of failure is useful.
