Hello Kiddies,

In what has been a week for us losing icons, actor Jonathan Frid passed away, ironically only weeks before the character he brought to life returns from the grave once again. Dark Shadows had been on the air almost a year, as a somewhat gothic, occasionally mysterious show. The decision to add supernatural elements was the right one

I'm a little upset they made it into something of a Comedy..But it's Tim Burton, so IDK. Love Tim, but still kinda gets my wick, you know?

You know I have found that combining comedy and horror is extremely difficult, whether it's on screen or in print. Almost no one that I see attempt it carries it off. I mean think about it, when you're scared, it's hard to amuse you, and when you're amused, it's hard to scare you. So if Burton carries this off as simultaneously frightening and good comedy, then he's stepped up his already up there game.
