I have to admit I haven't read much of Gaiman's stuff, but this story at least 4 or 5 times already. I love it because it's just so damn amazing and unusual.
And yes, the growling, hrrrr.... Zach definitely should read something as dark as a Gaiman story. I just hope Star Trek wasn't his only audiobook project because he's just amazing.
Again, thank you!

Thank you SO much for your fantastic review (and not just because you love us LOL). I have to admit that I was new to Gaiman's story when we started writing this, though as a teenager I did read other fiction that he's written. So credit where credit's due - my wonderful co-author leandralocke wrote that particularly brilliant paragraph.
Have you heard Quinto read Star Trek? That's what got us started on the idea because his voice is just so... indescribable! If you haven't heard it, I fully recommend you try and get hold of a copy.
So thank you (again) for taking the time to read and leave us such a well considered review. It's now a good day for me too.

1. gaiman - this is a man of whom i have been a fan of for years. he's a great storyteller and can do no wrong.
2. zach's voice - i bought the audiobook (as well as the paperback) and i can totally relate to chris just loving his bf's sexy voice.
3. being read to (or reading to people) - this is something that everyone should be allowed to experience regularly even though it's a kind of dying art. just a few weeks ago, i was being read whitman poetry in bed and i was going crazy. it was amazing.
thank you for this; it was lovely; can't wait to read more of your work!
