Touching a magic leaf = skinning a tanuki alive. okay then.

I get that the Tanooki suit is a returning gimmick for the latest Mario game, but PETA is 20 years too late to be campaigning against this- Mario's also worn raccoon ears & tail and a frog suit.

Apparently Tanookis are cuter than frogs so they must be saved over Mario wearing a frog suit.
