Oh yes, I do like that - a 'very well-filled brief' (or indeed pair of briefs) if I may so express it! I like the way you manage to keep Mac teetering along the fine line between goodie and baddie but make him attractive just the same; I could well imagine Gene being highly conflicted about him... especially over a quiet drink somewhere...
