Personal Canon About the Walkmanesh Household

...plus a few people they're associated with, such as Janice, Maury, and Mama Suresh. Umm... kinda long. I've written shorter fanfics.

1) Matt is totally the wife. The apron is his, he knows all the PTA gossip, and he does most of the housework, since he’s the one who’s work is closest to home and has the more predictable hours. He is actually very ( Read more... )

LOVE. Just, all of it. And the bit about Molly trying to be low-maintenance so that her parents won't leave her is heartbreaking. And Mama Suresh actually having ties with the Company and knowing what's going on in Mo's life? FANTASTIC.

It’s too much, too soon, and he really just wishes he’d had time to bury himself in his work before he suddenly got all tied up in his domestic life.

It's so true. Matt and Mohinder have known each other for four months, and Matt must have been in the hospital and Mohinder must have been off traveling around the world or making plans with Bennet for a good portion of that time. Now they're living together, embroiled in all these crazy situations, trying to raise a kid together, and it's all complicated by their personal issues. No wonder they bicker so much.

4) Molly’s biggest fear is that Sylar will find and kill her parents again. Every night, when she’s in the bathroom, she sneaks out an atlas, and checks to make sure that he’s nowhere near them. She’s not sure how she would handle it if she ( ... )

I mean, the Nightmare Man alone would have been nerve-fraying and stressful enough to make them bicker, without the added fuss of him turning out to be Matt's father, and Mohinder's working for the Company, which Matt so clearly does not approve of. I'm willing to conceed that if they didn't have Molly in common, they probably wouldn't be living together ( ... )

That's why I still haven't come to a decision on whether I think MattMo is plausible. On one hand, all their canon interaction is very tense and hostile, and they bicker constantly. On the other, they were under a hell of a lot of stress the entire season, and they barely know each other, and since they were going into it with only one priority in common and a certain amount of personal issues that affected how they related to each other, of course they grated on each other. I'm an M3 fan, but prefer Matt and Mohinder to have a platonic relationship (it fits better with how I perceive that family unit), until someone convinces me otherwise.

I love that entire Mama Suresh canon. It's so plausible. I am incorporating it into my own personal canon.

He. I love this. But I always thought the apron was Mohinder's. (Based on Molly's "I miss Mohinder. He cooked" comment.)
