Or does the new Total Recall movie look kind of...kickass?

And sorta make you want to re-watch the cheese-tastic original?

that is all, movies

RIGHT?? I have a 24 day old child and I'm still making sure I get out to that one somehow.

I guess kickassedness just isn't a surprise for that one, the way it is for a TR movie. Who knew they'd (re)make THAT? Seriously, the conversation that started that idea had to involve significant quantities of booze.

Yeah, as soon as I saw Kate Beckinsale I figured ol' Len was behind this. Good times!

Also. Icon of win.

Yes and Yes!!! It looks so good. When I heard it was being remade I was like 'seriously'. And then I saw the ad and ... yes! It looks bad ass.

RIGHT!? That was pretty much my reaction too...except sort of backwards because I didn't know it was being remade until I saw the trailer.

Haven't seen the trailer for the new one but I remember loving the original. Haven't seen it in years, though, so it might well be one of those movies that you rewatch years later and go, "I loved this? REALLY?" (That recently happened to me with the second Indiana Jones movie -- the one with Kate Capshaw -- and I was soooo disappointed because I had such happy memories of that movie.)

I have seen the trailer for the new Judge Dredd and it looks ridiculous. Not that the original with Stallone was any prize, but still.

OH HAY NICE ICON, YO. ;)

Tsk tsk. I once discovered that my once fave Indy movie was also the crappiest. You of all people should know, the secret to hanging onto those happy memories and keeping the love alive is ...*drumroll* EMBRACE THE LAMENESS.

It's kind of like how we still love DH2 even though it has serious sequelitis. (or how Wendy still loves Christian even though...sorry what were we saying? She was interrupted by Damian being awesome again.)

Yes well. It was mostly "wow, this chasing the diamond scene goes on forevvvvver" followed by "and then nothing happens for like thirty minutes wtf movie wtf". One should not be bored by Indy.

HAHAHAHAHA. This made me seriously chortle aloud. WIN.
