Reviews of Stuff (Mostly Justin Long Movies)

Feb 16, 2012 21:41

So, for Christmas we got the new Legend of Zelda game, Skyward Sword. I haven’t gotten far enough into it to give much of a review, but I can tell you so far Ocarina of Time is still my favourite Zelda. I’m finding the puzzles to be easier than Twilight Princess, or any of the others for that matter, and thanks to walkthroughs you can get by ( Read more... )

I forgot he was in Galaxy Quest...

So the other day one of my patients had her son with her and I swear he is a Justin Long clone. Mini-Justin is 4 and adorable and has the same floppy hair and the same big brown eyes and the same wide grin. Geeze, he's cute! And Honduran. Couldn't get over the likeness. And I thought of you, actually, when I saw him. :-D

Galaxy Quest is awesome. That is one I WILL be reccing.

Heh. People think of me when they think of Justin Long. I’m *that* girl. Awesome.
HONDURAN! He sounds a-frickin-dorable. I guess he’s sick, that’s sad. Do you get to see him again?
This oddly reminds me of the story of how Justin was once mistaken by the cops for some other ‘fully Asian dude’ as Justin put it. It was back in the day when he was living with Jonah Hill, who of course thought it was HILARIOUS. Apprently they had the cuffs ready and everything - that’s what he gets for having that last name and that floppy black hair!!

With "Zerk" and "Spoonie" as the first two character names, I thought for sure that the theme was going to be Movies In Which Justin Plays Characters With Ridiculous Names. I was waiting for Bartleby and Mookie to show up. ;)

So. Reviews. Aside from the cotton-mouthed aspect (oh, and the fact that you say it's ND-ish, since I *despised* Napoleon Dynamite) I think Sasquatch Dumpling Gang actually sounds kinda funny. It's on my list, just haven't gotten to it yet. Is Jonah Hill in it?

I kind of want to watch Just Add Water now just to see the spit-crotch-nosepick moment. *is weird*

Goddddd, I hated Strange Wilderness. Only funny parts was the voiceover dialogue for the animal footage, IMO. Oh well.

I have Happy Campers and I might still have That 70s Show, but I have no idea how to get them to you...

Love these reviews, great idea! I should do it with Bruce's movies, heeee! :)

RIGHT? What is WITH his names, man. There are still enough weird name ones that that could still happen. One of them will definitely be ‘movies in which Justin plays characters named Paul'. Too bad NG isn’t a movie. LOL. There are too many also starring Jonah to do a Jonah themed post. But no he isn’t in SDG. However one of the guys from Just Add Water is. And he plays the SAME CHARACTER I swear. He talks almost as funny as Justin and never wears a shirt. JAW is actually not a bad little movie, a bit oddball but you might like it. (Yeah SW isn’t really my thing either, but…Justin. High all the time. You know how it goes. - and I’m sorry but when he dry heaved because Jonah was wearing a thong... I played it back and laughed again. NGL ( ... )

Well, I checked. I still have Happy Campers, but I apparently deleted the That 70's Show file. I also weirdly have Crossroads (why on earth did I get that? Esp. when Amy actually OWNS IT -- again, whyyyy?) and I could borrow it to see Justin's scene(s) at any time.

... still no luck in finding a way to get them to you, though.

And I would love to do Bruce. Ohhhhhhhh how I would love to do Bruce.

This is a great idea. Reading reviews from the actor's fan is a fun. I esp liked your review of "Serious Moonlight", it was quite agreeable. That character was very unique as Justin's character and I think he played well too. I am looking forward to read more reviews from you.
About "Saturday Night Live" 2009, if you want to save your time searching SNL website, please visit my journal. I have posted it to my latest entry. The clip is short but you can see Justin's performance in it.

Why thank you, I'm glad you think so, I'm hoping people will find it interesting or useful - or yes, fun. :) As it happens I have just posted a couple more.

You liked my Serious Moonlight review? Hee hee thank you that was the one where I probably veered a little off course and started 'worrying' about Meg Ryan and generally being mean and slamming people, even though I said I wouldn't give my opinion, just a description. Oh well, nice to hear you agree! Justin was definitely showing his acting chops and his versatility there.

I would LOVE to see the clip, I'll definitely stop by your journal (as soon as I'm at a computer that isn't at work and I can watch it 1. with sound and 2. without getting in trouble)!
