Guess who's back, Dom!

Hoo, boy.

Well I'm back after a long silence. Lots of changes to report. New Fandom. First Slash. Never thought any of this would happen to me, but I guess I shouldn't be stunned because, quelle surprise, it has hot boys in even hotter cars. I guess I'll let the story do the rest of the talking for me.

If you're back here after my long silence, ( Read more... )

Why thank you. This was my first slash ever. I guess I found him quite inspiring. ;) Glad you liked it.

This is so lovely! I never saw this movie, but I think I must now that I've read this.

You're one of those people who writes so well that reader doesn't really need the film. I've never seen the John/Matt Die Hard movie, either, but I don't have to because you're so good at writing them.

And you are one of those people who lives up to your name, you are truly a fan of stories, no matter the origin. I'm so pleased you can enjoy my writing even without having seen where it is coming from. It's a genuine surprise to me that anyone would 'get' what I'm trying to do without having that built in background I'm taking advantage of - I'm sure a lot of my writing is 'inside joke' kind of stuff that only works if you've seen the canon, but it's great to hear there's enough sense or meaning in there somewhere to come across without it!

The movie(s - there are five now, phew!) is actually a very slashy peice of work in itself, if not the deepest of emotional fare - if you like action and cars and pretty people trading meaningful glances, you will definitely enjoy a viewing. :D

Thank you so much, my friend, serioulsy.

Well, I have only you to blame.

I watched two "Fast" movies last night. Out of order, as it happens, but no matter. The first one was, I think, the third movie, then I watched the one that started it all. Once I got home I couldn't tell which was which so I just popped one into the player.

When I was at Family Video, I noticed the second movie didn't seem to have the same characters. At least, the names on the movie cover were different. Is that the case? Is that one any good as far as pretty people and meaningful glances?

Wow, I know what you mean by slashy. All that revving of engines is just a metaphor for something pretty obvious to me. I can't get enough of that stuff.

Plus? Strong women! Yeah!

Have you written original fiction? I'd love to read some if you'd care to share.
