Die Hard Drabbles: Hands & Home

Blame Severina for this. (I do.) We are racing again.

I *told* her, I said, “next time, we should race by word count,” I did.

“No, verbose,” she said, like it’s my name or something. “We shouldn’t,” said she.

FINE THEN.
These are rated MA.

These were fun-- so much mileage out of hand-related prompts, too. I've got a Chuck/Casey "hand" fic for a prompt community that finally wants to be written now, so that especially caught my attention.

I love the progression here, and the angst and back-and-forth. There's a whole history told in these snapshots, and I like that there are missing pieces but each drabble tells us enough to fill in the rest.

“Let’s find out.”

Yes, please! \o/

Thank you. I started out with hands and it wanted to be fingers and split into two and then I thought, why not have a theme and...well then 5 drabbles happened!

There is definitely a domestic theme (to most of my writing, must work on that. John just wants to be married, I can't help it) and although they are separate, it does begin with a beginning and end with an ending so I'm glad you like the feeling of progression. This is the order they came to me in, so I guess I'm just a big old schmoopy curtain!fic head after all. That's ok.

Heee I hope Matt likes what he finds out.

OMG SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
*ahem*
Sorry. But this was just so perfect. It's been ages since I last read a DH4 fic, but this ... I think you just lured me back into the fandom.

Even though you might've cheated a little, stringing them all together so they make one longer story, the drabbles were great, too! All of them could've worked on their own perfectly well. (Still, I'm glad I had more to read.)

Too many great lines to quote, really. But John singing! <3 Matt typing instead of talking! <3 Lucy being bossy! <3 Thank you so much.

*keysmash* lmadfawrhtglrgn!!!

I'm sorry. Sucking people into fandom is my FAVOURITE.

It's very interesting people saw a story in this, I would love to write a fic in flashes, that would be very interesting making them into drabbles at 100 words each. So it's cool to hear people saw them this way even though they were intended to be separate and there are a few things that wouldn't fit together. They begin with a beginning and end with an end though, so I can see that feeling of progression. It's just the order they came to me in. Which...I guess says something about my writing but who knows what. LOL

I was a tad nervous to post John singing, I don't know why. I thought people would find it a little OOC but Bruce sings and...somehow that's what he was doing in my head, cornering Matt in the kitchen and getting all grabby and snuggly while Matt's just tryna get a cup of coffee, here. Thank YOU so much, I was so happy to get this comment. I'm so glad you liked this. Now GO READ MORE. :D

I approve of the racing. Up with racing, I say.

I love drabbles, with their spareness and focus, and these do not disappoint. The nightstick one really got me.

Thank you so much. I think that one might be my favourite.

The race is on as long as small fandom fest lasts. Lord help us all.;)

Hee I know what you mean. I'm glad you liked them and felt they were meaty enough to be like a story of some sort. Thank you so much, it was my first try so this is nice to hear. And thanks for giving these a try even if you don't like canape. ;)
