I don't even have 10 people on my flist. Not because I don't want them - I certainly follow more than 10 peoples' journal. I'm just afraid if I friend people they will think "who's this weirdo?"

You'll have to keep your eyes open for a Friending Meme on one of the Comms - I know I acquired a whole host of new Friends via one of those when I hadn't been on LJ for long. I think it was lifeonmartha that ran it - and they're great because you know participants are open to making new Friends...
