The mods do a great job at doctoreleven, it's true - but I tend to treat the comm like I do tennant_love - and don't get *too* involved - a reaction to being so burnt by certain comms in the past...
I enjoyed the story, didn't like seeing the angels moving much - they looked creepy, but still wrong.
I'm sorry, I'm still finding Eleven a little too near to Ten. I could hear Ten doing most if not all of that dialogue - I'm sure that is not a popular thing to say but there you go. I wanted something different and to me I'm not getting that.
It was a good ep, don't get me wrong, but to me it felt like Moff had got the SitL and FotD scripts, tweaked them a bit and sent them out again.
I thought it was clever - showing the Angels moving but not too much, and with the FX - I actually found them a bit more creepy when I saw them moving. Still, to each their own...
*shrugs* As I just said, to each their own - if Eleven's not doing much for you, he's not doing much for you. I, personally, am seeing a lot of Two and Seven in Eleven, as much as I am seeing Ten.
Oh, I agree, especially with the Two - my sister said that before I'd seen him and I agree with her (and you) maybe it's the delivery. I don't know, it just doesn't feel different enough for me sometimes. But there again I'm old and cranky ;)
I only didn't like the angels moving because I think it takes their 'power' away - The end of Blink pointed out the how do you know that ANY statue you look at is not going to get you when you blink or look away? senario. It's the very fact you DON'T see them move that makes them scary. Won't deny they didn't look a bit creepy when you did see them move, just it still felt a bit wrong. But as you said, horses for courses and all that!
Maybe it's because Ten's delivery was such a *stark* contrast to Nine's, that you're finding Eleven's less of a contrast to Ten's? (Does that even make sense? Sorry, am very tired tonight!)
Well, I guess that I see it differently because I generally *don't* find the Angels scary or creepy, until I saw them actually moving with the creaking stone sound effect...
First off the message box is grey! back to my agreeing that River will kill the Doc, she does it I bet so that it saves the day like a personal sacrifice.( It might have been a kinky S&M that went wrong and she finds out about his regenerative powers!) I LOL'd at THAT kiss scene. The way he pulled his braces back was funny! It was a very good ep.
Yes, I thought of the Toclafane - though in reality they didn't exist - the Master just named his monstrous creations after the fairytale creatures. Not quite the same thing.
I wondered about that - but I'm not sure because that's Moffat imposing his storylines on someone else, ie whomever follows him - unless he's planning on killing off the show altogether, which seems unlikely.

(BTW the main Eleven board is so much less wanky than some of the Ten ones. At the mo it's just bouncing and fun over the last few scenes)

(Is that doctoreleven? I've not looked there yet.)

I'll stop now before I get a slap!

He said that about the Toclafane, too. There are ways of making fairytales come true.
Did River kill the Doctor?
That was what I shouted at my computer, yes. I'd guess that she's going to kill his *last* incarnation, though.

The kiss was fine enough but it makes you wonder why Amy's engaged though.
Looking forward to Rory on the TARDIS.
