I trust everyone's now seen the CiN Special? If not, check You Tube, or if you're in the UK the BBC websiteHow absolutely marvellous was this mini-ep ? From the start, with Martha's leaving (making it OFFICIAL canon!), to the end with Five's remark about putting up the TARDIS shields right before the Titanic crashes into the TARDIS, it was totally ( Read more... )

I'm pretty sure that I watched the entire thing whimpering with glee. They were both just too adorable, I could barely stand it.

Despite not seeing any Old Who at all, I am going to have to say that I loved that to no end. Oddly enough, within five minutes Peter Davison is tied with DT as 'my favourite doctor'. Even I couldn't miss David Tennant's glee at acting with another Doctor! He is such a fanboy - I can see him staying in that role for a long time now. I think for DT, his two Doctors were Tom Baker and Peter Davison, so it does make sense for him to say he was a fan of his - still made me laugh!

And I have to agree, the word 'Whogasm' was certainly appropriate to David Tennant last night.

Yup, he Whogasmed all over the place (wonder if he needed clean trousers afterwards? Bad Pers!!!) !

It was so cute and lovely to see him Fanboying Five - I wanted to give them both a hug afterwards !

From the start, with Martha's leaving (making it OFFICIAL canon!)

Why wouldn't this be official canon?

But yes, the entire episode was lovely, and Five>Ten so completely it was almost embarrassing. And finally Ten was distracted from emo over knowing he was going to lose Martha, and the TARDIS was protesting the loss of her Martah as well.

Well it's not always clear whether extra episodes like the CiN ones are canon - but this one clearly is... For example the dire/ludicrous/cringe-worthy (select adjective of choice) "Dimensions in Time" one is definitely NOT canon - but this and the one they did with DT and Billie Piper in 2005 clearly are official canon.

I reckon the TARDIS will definitely miss her Martah loads ! TARDIS/Martah = OTP 4evah ! :D

Ah, okay, gotcha. This is my first CiN special so . . . but I'm glad it's official, now!

That's OK ! Yes, it's officially canon - and now DT's comment about the untold story (right near the end of the TLotTL commentary) makes total sense - he was clearly referring to this mini ep...

Whogasm is exactly the right word for David Tennant. I thought his head would burst from grinning so hard.
