Thanks. I wasn't expecting to write it - it wasn't even on my list of things to write, but there was a bunny (I blame James, Alesha and Ethan, myself!)
Yes, there will be a sequel - I wasn't going to write one - but another plot bunny bit me this morning while I was doing my laundry and I've just spent half an hour writing out a synopsis for myself...
The relationship between Martha & the Doctor is complex at the best of the times, and I think that really comes through here (especially with the added element of Jamie).
And this:
"The Doctor frowned. "I don't want you to be Rose," he said. "I want you to be Dr Martha Jones, and not just a shadow of Martha Jones, either. I want the feisty, smart, quick-witted, compassionate woman who travelled with me." He cupped her left cheek in his right hand. "I - "
I love it when the Doctor acknowledges that Martha is the doctor of pwnage! *grins*
With these two doctors as parents, Jamie can't go wrong! :)

Yes it is. I think Martha's comment about them being "friends, of a sort" is actually quite true - because they're not friends in the conventional sense.

Heh. I can't resist putting the words in his mouth that he *should* have said had Rusty been less of a git.

That was one of my favorite parts of the fic. I thought it summed them up pretty well.

Will there be a follow up of this? With Jamie and Martha on a few trips? :D

I usually do, but I could've done without this particular plot bunny...

I wrote four pages before my headache stopped me in my tracks.

Well Rusty never will, so someone has to...

I kinda guessed Jamie wasn't Tom's, but it was still a great surprise when I was right.
I really loved this, and can't wait for the sequel. :D

I didn't really intend for Jamie's parentage to come as a surprise.
Sequel's being written at this very moment.

That should be an interesting conversation. Poor Doctor! What a way to find out you have a child.
On the other hand, Jamie will have A VERY interesting childhood.
