Hee. I was inspired by the scene in "Robot" where Four's emptying his pockets onto a table and takes out an *incredible* amount of junk!

Heh! The Fourth Doctor chapter, like the Second Doctor chapter, is going to be rather full of people - I'm looking forward to writing both of those chapters.

Well Tom is a real man - he's just a bit closed-minded. And to be honest, his behaviour is a plot device - I wanted an excuse for Martha to be in Cardiff when Ten arrives to refuel the TARDIS, and an excuse that gave her a reason to jump (literally) at the chance to escape for a bit...

Not as much direct interaction between Martha and Five as I'd hoped for, but nice nods to Black Orchid, and poor Martha, being judged so harshly by Tom ...

Another brilliant chapter. I was looking forward to Five, and it definitely didn't disappoint, even if there was less interaction between them.

I particularly like the ending where he finds out how capable she is of doing something like this, after everything she's faced.

Yeah I'm sorry about the lack of interaction with Five - I was rather thwarted by him not having the Sonic Screwdriver (I blame John Nathan Turner!)

I particularly like the ending where he finds out how capable she is of doing something like this, after everything she's faced.

No need to be sorry! It was still a brilliant chapter, and the interacion they did have together was lovely :)

I'll let you into a secret - that was the second version of their interaction - the first version saw Martha being far less sympathetic or friendly towards Fivey and one of my Betas was a bit upset with their characterisation. Funnily enough, I hardly had to re-write it to make Martha more sympathetic.

Well I know which of the remaining Doctor-Martha meetings I'm most looking forward to writing (Two and Four) and which I think will be hardest (One - I already had a stab at that chapter actually and got so bogged down, I shifted his chapter further down the "schedule"!)
