Even doujin should have insurance.

For insurance purposes (as I'm getting my own place and will actually HAVE insurance!), I decided to scan all my doujin-- that way if my house burns down or notorious doujin robbers break in and rob me blind, I'll be able to get my books replaced for a mere $500 deductable! *dies* So for anyone who's interested in my insanity why I couldn't lift my ( Read more... )

Exactly! And if I were in Japan it wouldn't be so much of an issue, considering they average about $3 or $4 a piece, but what do these things cost here? $12-$20? Insanity, I tell you!

I'm good, how're you? How was Golden Week? I'm very excited, I just got a dog (ferret) carrier at a garage sale for $3, and a big aquarium with a stand for Toast for $10! I swear my pets are the most spoiled ever, lol.

Only a week and a half before I get the house, yay! My parents are coming over Sunday to mow the lawn even though it's not mine yet because we're afraid it's going to get overgrown, and I'll have to have a lawn service come in and take care of it if it gets too bad.

I'm working on the Snarry follow-up story... will hopefully be done before I move, though I still don't have the end worked out. Do you want to read it before I post it for the internet at large? It might be a little terrifying, I'm afraid... Snape is sort of squicky sometimes... *sigh*

Oh, I want to go to Osaka and do some serious doujin shopping right now (or, better yet, Ikebukuro in Tokyo)!!!!! *heavy sigh*

Seriously, I'm so excited about your house! Meghan and I are totally going to come up and crash at your place after graduation! Mwahahaha!

Well, we just got back a couple hours ago from cleaning up the yard-- I don't know why my parents wanted to do it before the house is technically mine, but whatever floats their boat, y'know. It looks about a million times better already, and I can't wait to get into it so I can repaint the living and dining room (honestly, sky blue? what were they thinking??) and take down the Noah's Ark ceiling fan in the spare bedroom.

Even though I've got these two great big boxes of doujin, I feel like I still need MORE! If only we could apparate to Tokyo...
