Wow, I can't even begin to describe the emotions I had yesterday. Things were so great. I think I have a really great group of kids. They all seem so sweet and so willing to work. I am just so happy right now. Things couldn't be better for me. I feel like this IS the fresh start I've been looking for and I can really take advantage of it.

Yay! Congrats! I'm glad it went so well for you and that you're already off to such a great start.

It made me laugh though. I traveled to NC once last year for an interview and it was the first time I had ever really spent any length of time down there and I was like ehhh! There's so many bugs EVERYWHERE! :-P

So glad your first day went well and that you seem to have a great group of kids!!!! But arent they are so eager the first day, lol...its later on when it gets harder. I pray for a great group also!!!! SO is this not your first year teaching??? I guess I assumed it was but maybe not??? Its mine and I am freaking out!! SO much to do and still dont know what grade or have a for real contract!!!!

eww about the bugs I hope our place isnt so buggy its not as in the wooded area as yours so hopefully not!

I think some comment in a teaching community where you said something like this classroom is much bigger than mine last year or something like that....and then also in your post talking about this being a fresh start...I thought you meant like teaching wise or something.

Glad to find a fellow Michigander in the same boat (new area new teacher) as me...I'm quite nervous about all this!!

Oh yeah, I guess because I student taught last year for a year. Kind of makes me feel like I already have a year under the belt.
