Gah, I'm just really scared/paranoid right now. I'm just so worried that I'm going to burn out my first year. If it makes you feel any better, and it may not, I thought the same thing about my first year of teaching. I had heard so often that it was the hardest, most draining and stressful year of our career. I'm here to tell that there is hope! It was my best year! I was fresh out of college with so many ideas and so eager to implement some of the things I had learned. I was fortunate to have a wonderful staff to work with who all really helped me find my footing. Even as I finish my eighth year of teaching this year, I still look back at my first year as being my best year.
I wish you lots of luck in finding what will hopefully be a GREAT year for you!

I'm currently in Georgia, where there are tons of jobs, yet I am leaving it for the more unstable north. I'm originally from southern Wisconsin, so I am looking in the northern Illinois area. It's SO different trying to find a job in the north. Now I remember why I left in the first place - no jobs!
Anyway, hope you're feeling better!
