I just came back from seeing Zodiac, which opened tonight. The spoiler-free skinny: it's excellent, albeit too long. Director David Fincher claims that the best stuff was left on the cutting-room floor, but I think there was too much attention on too many subplots. I highly recommend it :). In fact, I can't think of a single negative review that I've encountered. Well, I kinda wish it had nakey Jake Gyllenhaal in it...

Ooh! I want to see that! Thank you for mentioning the violence being limited. I am one of the squeamish. ;P

That being said, the movie makes a plausible case for a particular scenario involving a particular suspect.

Dammit! You just spoiled the whole damn movie!

No problem, m'dear :). Fincher is known for being "edgy," and while I like that side of him, I know that it's not everyone else's cup of tea. You will be on the edge of your seat, but in the best possible and ungory way.

Oh man, I knew I should have used a cut ;)!
